HOW TO FIND MOTIVATION TO WORK OUT/EXERCISE*

Hi Lavs!

Working out. Yep, it is something that we know truly important and needed by our body, but it is just something that most people struggle with. The time, the effort, the motivation just seem a little too much sometimes. For me, the biggest problem lies in the motivation part. I often lose the motivation to exercise, so I don’t find the time and make the effort. With that being said, these are the tips that I find helpful to be more motivated to work out!

1) Have a work out buddy

Having a buddy in everything is always nice. In working out especially, having a buddy with the same goal will help you to be reminded and not to slack off. If all of your buddies are too busy, you can find a youtube persona that feels like a buddy to you. I find Cassey Ho from blogilates is really friend-like and following her exercise feels like exercising with your friend.

2) Buy a cute work out outfit

By having a cute work out outfit, you will be more excited to do some exercise. You can buy some cute work out tank, yoga mat, and shoes.

They have a lot of brands and designs for you to choose from.

For shoes, make sure find the one that is not only cute but also comfortable to wear. Check out this link (sepatu adidas classic) to find cute and comfortable work out shoes.

3) Take note of your work out session

Do your best to take note of the date and what kind of exercise you do. This will help you to stay on track. How does taking note help you to stay on track?

For me personally, I usually work out using Nintendo Wii, so the device will automatically keep track of my exercise session. For the game that I play in Nintendo Wii, it also tells me how many calories I burn in a session and how much progress I make. It also tells me how long I’ve been going without exercising (this part is embarrassing, but effective to let you feel guilty for not exercising for too long).

4) Find a form of exercise that you truly enjoy

I find walking, playing wii and doing core/glutes exercises while laying down and watching my TV shows are the ones I truly enjoy. I believe just there is at least one exercise that you all can truly enjoy, you just need to try and test it out!

5) Remind yourself, exercise is always good and will bring result (mostly, in the long run)

I am the kind of person who like seeing result and I kind of had that mind set for exercise as well. I thought if I don’t see result, I am doing something wrong. I wanted to see my body slim down and be more toned after 1 week of constant exercise, but my friends, let me tell you that is not the case for exercise. Exercise is more on the progress. You got to enjoy it and know that it has all the benefits for your body. I know one of them is exercise will make you happier!

SUGAR SCRUB BY SWEET CANDY IN COFFEE* // REVIEW

As you may (or may not) know already, I recently realized how important it is to take care of our skin.

I find that skin care is actually far more important than makeup itself, because without good skin the makeup also won't apply as nice. Talking about skin, sometimes we often be too focused on our face and forget to take care of our body, I admit I am one of those people haha.

My skin is currently very dry and I think there is a lot of dead skin :/

I used argan oil for my moisturizer every night, but unfortunately the improvement is not that significant.

Just then, SUGAR CANDY contacted me to review their products and of course I said yes :)

I chose their SUGAR SCRUB in COFFEE

* PRODUCT *

They come in the cutest packaging. I wonder how much time and effort they put to personally pack this scrub.

What you get in the pack is one jar of the powder scrub and a small plastic spoon to scoop the product out. They also give you a thank you card, a sticker and a sheet containing explanations about the product and how to use it. I like how thoughtful they are to include a spoon, so it will be easier for us to take the product out.

The jar is made from plastic and has a secure lid, so no worries of broken jar or product spilling during shipment. I think this amount can give me +/- 40 uses. It retails for IDR 65.000 so I think it is a pretty good price.

* APPLICATION *

Take 2/3 spoonful of the scrub and put in inside a bowl

Put in a little water and mix until there is no more powder

This is the consistency that I like

For application, I usually just take two spoonful of product, pour it into a bowl and mix it with water until it become a paste. I like the way this scrub applies, it has just the right amount of grittiness where your skin really feel exfoliated, but not until you feel hurt. I recommend to use this in the shower before bath since it can get pretty messy. I personally like to use it in the shower because all the mess will be gone with just a few pours of water.

* BEFORE AFTER *

I do feel that my skin become smoother to touch right after using this scrub and hop out of the shower. I've been using it religiously and noticed that my skin is not as dry as before (but I also use other moisturizing products (here) that may help).

* OVERALL *

I like this scrub! It makes my skin less dry and smoother to touch. I think I might repurchase this scrub. One thing for sure, you have to use this scrub regularly to experience the maximum result!

For me, 2015 was a good year and I'm so excited for 2016!

To start 2016, let's kick it in with a makeup haul.

I got these items from Born Pretty Store. Born Pretty Store is an online store which has basically, everything you need.. From clothes, accessories, makeup, nail art supplies and other interesting stuffs. They sell all these items at a very affordable price.

Born Pretty Store is kind enough to let me choose some of their products to try out myself :)

// Pink Makeup Brush Set //

They come with 7 brushes in total, precisely 5 brushes and 2 tools. They come with a case which you can roll up, thus it is very good for travelling!

The set comes with :
one powder brush // one angled blush brush // one flat brush for eye shadow // one pointed brush for eyeliner/lips // one angled brush for brows & one sponge thing for eye shadow application // one brush for eyebrows.

To be completely honest with you, I expected less than this. I thought the hair of the brushes will be a lot stiffer and harsher to the skin, but I am pleasantly surprised.. The brushes are so soft!

I think the brushes are made from synthetic bristles, so honestly, it is quite hard to pick up powder products. I have to swirl the brushes multiple times to get the pigmentation than I want.

// Beauty Blender (Dupe) //

I was very excited about this product because I always wanted try how a beauty blender works. I followed the instructions on how to use a beauty blender because I feel it is basically the same thing, only different brand (and durability maybe?). After trying this one out, I think a beauty blender is best for thicker foundation. I tried this out with Revlon Color stay foundation and the result is flawless.

I think the material of this one is not too shabby as well. I've been using and washing it for a few times, and it is still intact. No tearing what so ever. Overall, I'm happy about this product and I recommend this for those who are eager to try beauty blender but still considering about the price. I suggest you to try this one out first to know whether you like how it works :)

// Panda Eye liner //

I was in love with how cute the packaging of this eye liner, I mean, just look at that, isn't it the cutest :3

The eyeliner is a pen / felt tip eyeliner, which I'm pretty bummed about. I was hoping for a brush tip because I can work with brush tip better than a pen tip.

The pigmentation is great, it is a true black eyeliner and goes along pretty smoothly.
Overall I think this eyeliner is okay, especially if you consider the price.

Those are all the items I got from Born Pretty Store.
Overall, I think the shopping experience is pleasant. I love how affordable they are and the quality still exceeds my expectation (for that price point). Of course, you can't really compare the quality with popular brand names out there.

They take 2 weeks - 1 month to ship to Indonesia, and take approximately the same time for US and UK residents. Thus I think it's best if you order your items 2 months prior the time you want to use your items, just to be safe.

The packaging is wrapped really nicely (too bad I forgot to take a picture of the packaging) to ensure your products come in perfect condition.

All in all, I think Born Pretty Store is a nice option to shop for affordable items :)
